An El Al plane landed safely after being forced to make an emergency landing at Israel's Ben-Gurion International Airport late Thursday, following a malfunction during takeoff.
The plane, a Boeing 737 flying under the flight number LY2653, had taken off for Kiev with 182 passengers when one of its tires exploded.
The plane then circled Israel and dumped its fuel into the sea in preparation for the landing in Ben-Gurion Airport.

The airport was put on emergency level two, with dozens of police vehicles and medical personnel already present at the site, a spokesman said, with Magen David Adom saying there were over a dozen ambulances at the airport.
A few people on the flight suffered anxiety, but no one was injured during the incident.
